Delve into the often-overlooked biological effects of cellphones and Wi-Fi, and what you can do about them with this enlightening library program.
A lot has been written about the effects on kids from social media and screen addiction, but much less about the safety of the wireless devices themselves (including cell phones, tablets, wifi laptops, etc.), and the frequencies that make them work. What does appear in the news tends to be contradictory, leaving parents confused and unsure of how best to manage tech within the family.
We will explore what the past thirty years of biological science has shown us, and look at how we can translate that into wiser decisions at home, and best practices in schools. You will learn easy ways we can limit our exposure, even as we enjoy the benefits of this technology.
Marne Glaser, retired school psychologist, has been following this science closely for 23 years, from inside and out. She will share what she has learned from interacting with scientists, industry, lawmakers, and attorneys. Come join us at the Robert Crown branch on April 9th!
