Use cardboard, motors, sensors, and a programmable microcontroller to create an interactive arcade style game. Grades 6-8
Do you love playing arcade or carnival games? Do you love building? Now you have the chance to create your own. Use a variety of everyday building materials to construct a game and then program it to move and interact with players using motors, sensors, and a programmable microcontroller. No experience is needed. Participants who complete a game can also submit their game for consideration in our first ever pop-up arcade here at the library. People will actually play your game and the audience favorite will win a prize. Students can work individually or in groups of 2 or 3, if desired. Grades 6-8.
