The author's haunting memoir explores an immigrant family's struggles to adapt and endure despite painful separations, deportation and detainment. Free copies of the book, "Brother, I'm Dying", are available at the Evanston Public Library's Reader's Services desk, in partnership with Columbia College's NEA "Big Read" grant.
