What makes the 2020 election unlike any other in recent history? What is the impact of growing polarization and party conflict? Get the background you need before voting in November!

Professor Laurel Harbridge-Yong (Political Science and the Institute for Policy Research at Northwestern University) will discuss the 2020 presidential and congressional elections in light of growing polarization and party conflict in American politics. What does the path to victory look like for each party? How has the 2020 race been impacted by the 2016 election and Trump presidency? What are the likely implications of the 2020 election for policymaking and party conflict in the next few years? Professor Harbridge-Yong is an expert on congressional politics and public opinion and her research focuses on the lack of bipartisanship and compromise in American politics.
