Whether you have a little space or a lot, you can start getting ready for edible gardening now.
Have you been thinking about trying to grow vegetables and fruit to eat? Are you unsure about how to start? Do you think you can't garden because of limited space or because you only have a patio or balcony? Well set those fears aside because we'll teach you how to get started, and yes, fall is a perfect time to begin preparing for next spring's crops. After all the key to a successful garden (next year or anytime) is to plan your garden space and most importantly, start building healthy soil.
Our presenter will be Tim Sonder of Edible Evanston, an organization that creates community centered around places of local food production throughout the city. Edible Evanston encourages and supports food growers and provides opportunities for education and for sharing food.
