This is a space for Trans/GNC people to come together to heal, share, and celebrate for Trans Day of Resilience/Remembrance.
"November 20 marks Trans Day of Remembrance, an annual memorial for our murdered kin. The day gives us space to grieve the siblings—overwhelmingly Black trans women and femmes—who were pushed out of this world too soon.
Our rebellious mourning recommits us to the living. We refuse to forget or forfeit our power, even in the face of epidemic violence. We remember: we are pure possibility. Our freedom dreams could set the whole world free."

EPL is partnering with ETHS, Northwestern's Rainbow Alliance, and community activists for an Evanston-specific Trans Day of Resilience/Remembrance.
TDOR is a space by and for trans people to heal and celebrate together. Evanston Trans/GNC POC to the front!
There will be an open mic portion (sign up here) where all trans/GNC people are invited to share stories, poetry, songs etc. Trans POC and individuals connected to the Evanston community will have priority.
There is space for individuals to submit anonymously and have another read what is shared if this is preferred. Zoom safety and privacy are a priority.
