Join us for a fun virtual Urban sketching workshop that will take you on a wonderful trip of imagination. The goal for this workshop is for you to get inspired on finding beauty in the simple mundane day to day life and develop an everyday practice of sketching and maintaining an art journal.This three part workshop would introduce you to basics of Urban sketching techniques and guide you through creating compelling colorful sketch This is a perfect way to learn a new skill with family & friends while staying warm and cozy indoors. Materials Required: a sketchbook preferably a watercolor friendly sketchbook, any watercolor set and waterproof pen like micron or sharpie(fine tip).
The workshop will take place over three Thursdays: January 21st, January 28th, and February 4th.
Shruti Vijay is an Artist/Urban Sketcher living in Evanston.She has been documenting her life and the world around her in sketchbooks since 2017. She sketches on location and recreates the essence of the scene in her artwork. Whether it's in Evanston or in her travels, it's always a good day when she can observe and find inspiration and beauty in her surroundings and capture that in her sketches.
