The Coded Beats Club for middle and high school students combines elements of musical performance with computer coding. Students will develop confidence and skill as they train with coaches and teammates to compete in front of a live audience as part of a community music festival. The tournament-style event elevates coding to the level of performance art in a unique competition that is equal parts musical performance, spoken word festival, freestyle rap battle, robotics club, and hackathon. As participants learn, they will expand their resumes with marketable skills in Python programming, music technology, and more. Recurring event Wednesdays & Thursdays from 4:30PM - 5:30PM. No prior music or computer programming skills required.
