Experience healing in community through group acupuncture
Experience healing in community through group acupuncture as modeled by the Lincoln Hospital Detox Program developed by Dr. Mutulu Shakur, the Black Panthers and Young Lords in the South Bronx in the 1970s. During the session, Amy will share some history about the Lincoln Hospital Detox Program from its birth through the joint efforts of the Black Panthers and Young Lords.
Amy Landolt is the owner of Northshore Acupuncture Center and a Licensed Acupuncturist who specializes in the treatment of sleeping issues. She is an aspiring activist who uses acupuncture as a healing tool for communities who have experienced (or continue to experience) harm.
Program Description:
You will be treated in a group, sitting up in chairs, fully clothed. Amy will place up to five small, sterilized disposable needles into specific sites on each ear. If you don’t want to have acupuncture, you can still benefit from the treatment by sitting with the group or Amy can place ear seeds on points.
Benefits of a treatment include:
Increased calmness,
Relief from stress and emotional trauma,
Better sleep, and
A discovery of inner quiet and strength
