What makes a good movie? Why do we love the films we do? What makes a drama sad and a horror movie scary? We'll discuss different aspects of filmmaking from directing and acting to lighting and cinematography and everything in between to understand why we like the films we do and the ways great movies are impacted by and in turn impact our society.
The Teen Cinema Club, from 3:30 pm-6:00 pm April 28th, is open to all teen filmmakers, movie lovers, and snack enjoyers. This month we will be discussing the Roles within Film, pre-production, and the steps you need to take to turn a script into a movie. The Robert Crown Branch Library, located inside the Robert Crown Community Center, was opened in early 2020 to extend library services out into walking distance of some of Evanston's most diverse and historically underserved neighborhoods. The branch features a computer bar, laptop loaning, study rooms and a community meeting room, an expanded Spanish-language collection and bilingual staff, an outdoor reading garden, and dozens of programs each month for children, teens and adults.
