Sewing and community service! Beginners welcome. Grades 6-12.
If you're looking for a meaningful community service opportunity to make change and give back this Spring Break, come sew with us! Also, if you would like to be registered as a "Loft Sewer," and gain permission to use the sewing machines in the Loft unsupervised on Tuesdays and Thursdays for drop-in sewing, please come to this event to show us your skills.
Join us in the Falcon Room 303 at the Main Branch 1:00-3:00pm to help create reusable sanitary pads for the Girls 4 Girls Ghana organization. Did you know that more than 20% of girls miss school due to lack of supplies for menstrual cycles? Let's help change this! All materials will be provided including scissors and sewing equipment. There are a lot of jobs for everyone but sewers are strongly encouraged to attend! Grades 6-12.
