A Learning, Creating, and Connecting space for Older Adults
August 17: "Dog Days of Summer" with the Canine Therapy Corps
We've all seen therapy dogs helping people around our community or even being read to by our younger library patrons -- but we older adults want to hang out with them, too! Dogs and handlers from the Canine Therapy Corps will teach us what they do, show us how the dogs are trained, and then give us some time to pet and love on these furry heroes! A must for animal lovers.
This program is also a welcoming space for those with memory changes and their care partners.
Made possible by a grant from Age Options.
