The discussion will include a description of the many types of visas available-both nonimmigrant and immigrant, and the types of LPR adjustments-family-based and employment-based.
A Community Relations Officer, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), USCIS District 34 in Chicago, will conduct a virtual PowerPoint presentation on “Adjustment of Status: Obtaining a Green Card”. Officer Rodriguez will conduct an overview on the process of adjusting to lawful permanent residence (LPR) or obtaining a green card. Officer Rodriguez will discuss the visa categories, the process of entering the United States and the eligibility requirements for those seeking LPR status. The discussion will include a description of the many types of visas that are available for both nonimmigrants and immigrants, and the types of LPR adjustments, based on family and employment. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end of the presentation.
