This summer, we invite drummers of all skill levels to join us for a series of socially distant drum circles. For grades: 3-5.
Do you love to play the drums or ever just wanted to learn how to play the drums? Well, join us for a series of socially distanced drum circles this summer at the Robert Crown Library Branch Reading Garden! For grades: 3-5th
These sessions will teach drummers how to play either bucket drums or Latin and African grooves and shuffles on various hand percussion. The group will learn to work together to develop their rhythmic and musical abilities through counting and mathematics related to music as well as music theory and appreciation.
Seating is limited, so registration is required! We will contact you in case of cancellation or rescheduling due to weather.
The Reading Garden is located at the southeast corner of the building. You can access it by using the sidewalk along the southside of the building. Follow to the left of the main entrance.
For any questions or concerns, please contact Ozivell Ecford (oecford@cityofevanston.org).
We would also like to thank Old Town School of Folk Music who donated the instruments for this program!
