Drop in and create Art using data collected by the We Are Water community research project. Participants will be able to express what water means to them. Ages 3 and up.
Join the We are Water project! Using a variety of visual art materials--including maps of Evanston and watercolors and other repurposed art supplies, come help us connect to our wonderful water: Lake Michigan!.
We are Water Evanston is a community research project that explores our relationship with and concerns about water. It represents a collaboration between Citizens Greener Evanston and Northwestern University and has included over 800 Evanstonians!
The Art projects will appear in shop windows throughout the city, in dates TBA
Why?
By visualizing information in this unique way, the issues and passion that Evanston has for its water, you will help Evanston grow our relationship with water--our greatest local natural resource, our key to climate resilience and the material that links us all. You will also help the researchers better understand the collected data.
Younger children are encouraged to create with the help of their adult.
