Peaceful beginner's yoga led by Cami Codell of Grateful Yoga in the reading garden outside the Robert Crown Library branch.
This class will focus on building a foundational yoga practice through postural movement, breathing, and meditation, at a slow, accessible pace. Modifications will be offered. Educational components are rooted in body awareness, present moment living, and compassion for self & others. All are welcome!
Cami Codell completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Kripalu Center in 2017, shortly after experiencing the transformative healing power of yoga in her own life. Since then, she has done specialized trainings in children’s yoga, pre/postnatal yoga, mindfulness & wellbeing coaching, yoga nidra, and trauma-informed yoga. Cami currently works as Integrative Services Specialist at Yellowbrick mental health program in Evanston, providing yoga, meditation, and creative expression as therapeutic healing avenues. Cami strongly believes that yoga is for all, and within the vast scope of what yoga can be, there truly is something for everyone. For teaching schedule & more, visit camicodellyoga.com.
