Welcome in spring by bringing a cutting in a small container to swap with other plant lovers and discuss the joys of being a plant parent.
Bring in a plant cutting and pick up a new plant to add to your collection. Houseplants of all kinds are welcome as well as vegetable and flower seedlings (please only bring pots that you are willing to part with!), and extra produce! This is a perfect opportunity to divide those overgrown but healthy houseplants and share plant tips with other plant lovers.
In partnership with Edible Evanston we will also be hosting a seed swap in the lobby starting at 12:30.
Come on out and get free seeds and share your saved seeds or seedlings you started (or seeds you did not use which were for growing season 2020 or more recent).Limits will be posted as to the number of packets each family may take. Bring seeds and seedlings to share if you have extra.
The Robert Crown Branch Library, located inside the Robert Crown Community Center, was opened in early 2020 to extend library services out into walking distance of some of Evanston's most diverse and historically underserved neighborhoods. The branch features a computer bar, laptop loaning, study rooms and a community meeting room, an expanded Spanish-language collection and bilingual staff, an outdoor reading garden, and dozens of programs each month for children, teens and adults.
