In honor of Period Action Day, join EPL in our fight against period poverty! Learn how to make reusable pads, chat with a gynecologist, play trivia, win cool prizes and eat lunch. Grades 5th-12th.
Join us in the Community Meeting Room at the Main Branch 10:00am-2:00pm for Period Action Day. Help create reusable sanitary pads, chat with a gynecologist, play trivia, eat lunch and win cool prizes. Pads will be donated to the Girls 4 Girls Ghana organization. More than 20% of girls miss school due to lack of supplies for menstrual cycles. All materials will be provided including scissors and sewing equipment. There are a lot of jobs for everyone but sewers are also strongly encouraged to attend! For grades 5th-12th. If you can't make it, no worries, we welcome people to stop by and show their care with underwear and sanitary napkins. Donations are welcomed from now until October 12th. For more information please email emadison@cityofevanston.org or call 847-448.8644.
