Community life is built on its stories. Our history and culture—those of society and of individuals—are passed from generation to generation through stories. Help us collect stories of Latinx families in Evanston, what brought us here, our experiences, and our hopes for the future. Join us for 'Cafecitos' where we'll share with each other our stories and you will be able to meet Evanston's new Chief of Police Schenita Stewart!
**REGISTRATION NOT REQUIRED. There will be hot and cold coffee and, sometimes, other snacks available :)
The Robert Crown Branch Library, located inside the Robert Crown Community Center, was opened in early 2020 to extend library services out into walking distance of some of Evanston's most diverse and historically underserved neighborhoods. The branch features a computer bar, laptop loaning, study rooms and a community meeting room, an expanded Spanish-language collection and bilingual staff, an outdoor reading garden, and dozens of programs each month for children, teens and adults.
