Did you know that Martin Luther King Jr. Day is the National Day of Service? If you're looking for a meaningful community service opportunity to make change and give back, check out the Evanston Public Library.
Join us in the Children's Art Garden, Main Branch from 10am-1pm (to register for the 2pm-5pm session, click here) to help create chew toys for our local animal shelter, as well as cards and bookmarks for local seniors. We will also be showing a film for MLK Day, highlighting his most famous speech. Grades 1-4.
Not in this age group? There are still other fun activities to get involved! Adults and teens can help us sew reusable sanitary pads for Girls 4 Girls Ghana. Check out the morning or the afternoon session!
If you can't make it, no worries, we welcome people to stop by and show their care with donations of underwear and sanitary napkins. Donations are welcomed from now till MLK Day.
