Enjoy a special Jammie Time with Roger Mello, the 2014 Hans Christian Andersen Illustrator Award Winner! Roger will read from his books, show how he creates his unique art, and then lead a craft!
Our monthly Jammie Time will welcome a special guest in October! Enjoy this rare chance to meet internationally acclaimed artist Roger Mello, visiting us from Brazil! He has won many awards, including the prestigious 2014 Hans Christian Andersen Illustrator Award and a 2018 Batchelder Honor. After reading from his books, Roger will show how he creates his unique art. Then Roger will lead the group through a cool craft project that he himself created! He will happily answer questions and sign copies of books, including his brand new Charcoal Boys, that will be on sale from Booked, Evanston's very own independent children's book store. No registration required. Jammies optional but extremely welcome!
