Make art with Kids Create Change in response to the Bias Inside Us exhibit!
Visitors of all ages are invited to add to a community tapestry that will weave together our individual commitments to acknowledge and combat bias within ourselves and in our community. The workshop will include an introduction to art making for social change and the opportunity to discuss themes explored in the exhibition. All materials will be provided and no previous art experience is necessary.
This event is being held in conjunction with "The Bias Inside Us" exhibit organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. The exhibit can be viewed on the 3rd floor of the Main Library from April 9 through May 8, 2022.

About Kids Create Change:
Kids Create Change is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing social emotional learning and sociocultural awareness in young people through the arts. We believe creativity is the true catalyst for social change and the most essential skill for making a difference in today’s world. Through the creation of spaces where all people can explore and experience art, creativity, and our shared humanity, we work young people as change makers building a more empathetic, inclusive and equitable society.
Our programming explores the myriad ways in which the arts can celebrate diverse identities, build community, and promote creative action towards social justice. We emphasize relationship building and collaborative involvement in program design and project development as a way to engage the inherent wisdom, strengths and experiences of our participants and to meet their interests and needs in an authentic and meaningful way.
The Bias Inside Us is organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service.
Major support is provided by The Otto Bremer Trust.
