Let's swap toys and make this holiday season more sustainable, frugal and fun!
Register for our first toy swap! Bring 4-5 toys (clean and in good shape) and take home new-to-you toys for your kids to enjoy.
We will also have a gift-wrapping table, where you can have your new toys wrapped for the holiday season.
Drop off hours: Bring your toys during these times so we can give you your tickets for the swap:
Here are some ideas of the items you can bring:
The swap event is only for adults, so we request that you do not bring children with you.
The first group of 5 participants will be allowed to pick their toys at 7pm. Order will be decided on a first come first served basis, starting at 6:30pm.
What is the "Going Green Series"?
This ongoing series includes workshops, community events, presentations, DIY kits and other activity formats aimed at getting participants of all ages and walks of life excited about being more sustainable while having fun, learning new skills, building community and enjoying Nature.

The Evanston Public Library invites all of us to become everyday environmentalists by learning how to make our own stuff and reduce waste, strengthen our communities by making new friends in swapping events, gain money-saving sustainable habits that make our lives more joyful, and promote wellness by connecting with Nature.
The Robert Crown Branch Library, located inside the Robert Crown Community Center, was opened in early 2020 to extend library services out into walking distance of some of Evanston's most diverse and historically underserved neighborhoods. The branch features a computer bar, laptop loaning, study rooms and a community meeting room, an expanded Spanish-language collection and bilingual staff, an outdoor reading garden, and dozens of programs each month for children, teens and adults.
