Enjoy a special visit from Nora Brooks Blakely! She will read her Kwanzaa book Moyenda and the Golden Heart, answer questions, and lead children through a special Kwanzaa-related craft! Registration begins November7! All ages are welcome, but recommended for 5 to 8 year olds.
Nora Brooks Blakely is an Authorpreneur and a literary arts administrator (President, Brooks Permissions). After writing plays and musicals for young people for decades, Nora has released her first children’s book, Moyenda and The Golden Heart, an origin tale for Kwanzaa. Ms. Blakely is the daughter of two writers, Henry Blakely and Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Gwendolyn Brooks. You can learn more about Ms. Blakely on the website, flyingcolorsunlimited.com.
