This presentation aims to help caregivers navigate the mental health challenges arising from the diagnosis and disease process while attending to their loved ones' needs.
Dementia and other neurocognitive disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease, often present with symptoms of depression or anxiety. These symptoms can be due to the impact of the disease process and its effect on the brain, as well as an emotional response to receiving a difficult diagnosis.
