Are you looking for a place to gush about your favorite Asian shows, movies, or even songs? Or maybe you’re just curious and want to explore what Asian entertainment is like? Come join us!
Asian Dramas Appreciation Group: Recently Watched Edition event is finally happening!
This is where we pick an Asian TV show or movie to watch on our own time, then meet to discuss our impressions and thoughts on it together. Did you love it? Liked it? It was just okay. Or maybe it was not your cup of tea at all--and that's completely fine! All perspectives are welcomed and will be respected.
And for this very first time, we'll be discussing about a Japanese romantic drama film called "Your Eyes Tell."
From Hoopla: Kaori, a young woman struck by a tragic car accident, loses her sight, but not her optimism. Through chance, she meets a down and out kickboxer named Rui. The two strike a connection, both estranged from society, and are propelled to help each other live.
This event is free! You don't need to have an Evanston Public Library card to sign up!
There will also be Asian snacks! Please let us know if you have any allergies and we will try to accommodate that.
We look forward to finding out what you think about this movie and more!
If you have any questions or need any help, feel free to contact us at (847) 448-8620 or pwongtrakul@cityofevanston.org
