Candidates will meet virtually using Zoom. The public is invited to view the webinar forum as it takes place.
The public is invited to submit questions for the candidates by email to lwvevoterservices@gmail.com no later than September 27. Questions should relate to specific issues within the district, and should be applicable to both candidates. Your email subject line should identify as a forum question.
The forum is co-sponsored by the Leagues of Women Voters of Arlington Heights-Mt. Prospect-Buffalo Grove, Evanston, Glenview-Glencoe, Wilmette, and Winnetka-Northfield-Kenilworth in
partnership with the Evanston Public Library.
The League of Women Voters, a national nonpartisan political organization dedicated to promoting the active and informed participation of citizens in government, sponsors these events as a service to the community.
This event meets the criteria of the Evanston Public Library Board Policy regarding use of library facilities for political activities, which requires that:
1. All candidates are invited to attend.
2. The forum is sponsored by a non-partisan group.
3. All candidates for a particular office must agree in writing to attend the forum or indicate in writing that they do not oppose the forum being held even though they are unable to attend.
The League of Women Voters and Evanston Public Library neither endorse nor oppose candidates for public office.
The forum will be recorded and available for viewing following the event on the LWVE website.
